R.I.P.

I don’t eat animals. I don’t hurt animals. I pet animals. I cry when they’re mistreated.

I killed a cat today.

It was a complete accident. My cousin is getting married today and we needed lemon juice for the breakfast her mom has been making for us since before we can remember. So of course, I went to the store. On the way home a tawny cat ran in front of my front wheels. I stopped as fast as I could but I felt it go under my tire. Worst of all, the owner watched it happen. I was a wreck. So much so that the owner felt bad for me. The cat was amazing. It only broke a leg, but the owners decided to put it to sleep instead of putting it through surgery. I’m not a cat lover, but this one was so sweet, it meowed so calmly and didn’t hiss at all. Poor kitten. Today my cousin is getting married and I killed a cat.
